I've talked about it before but the AIDS Quilt and the project of memorializing queer stories through tangible physical objects is fundamental to how I want to make art and the methods and mediums I choose. This is such a loving interactive digital archive, and I am so sad and glad for it.

I haven’t seen the stage version of Little Shop of Horrors, but I just came across a “slime tutorial” of it on YouTube and watched the ending. I never knew that right before she dies, Audrey sings a reprise of Somewhere That’s Green, which gives a new meaning to the song (her being fed to Twoey) 😭😭.

This is *it* folks - the hollow, silly appeal to inevitability has to be repeated constantly because otherwise we'd all realise that we can actually push back against awful deployment of ineffective and crappy technology
re: Bsky staff being AI weirdos, I see this sort of thing a bunch from people who like AI but don't want to outright go all in on public zealotry
just because it's invented doesn't mean you gotta use it! Syphilis isn't being uninvented anytime soon but that doesn't mean I'm rushing to get infected

I'm really enjoying Welcome to Derry. I initially assumed that this would be more of an anthology covering Mike's various interludes with Derry's history from the book, but I like what it ended up being also.
