It's also worth remembering that cutting off SNAP benefits isn't just the collateral damage of suspending the House and funding Trump's vanity projects. It's been a goal of the right for a while

One thing you manage to do really well is firmly push back on harm Trump's doing, without drawing much of a target on your back from the administration, all while staying focused on economic development. A fine line to walk, for sure, but you pull it off

I agree, but living in a red state I can tell you a lot of Trump voters genuinely believe that all politicians across the board are hopelessly, irredeemably corrupt. They're the kind of folks who hear that lunchmeat preservatives cause cancer and immediately say "yeah but EVERYTHING causes cancer!"

💯 Do it. Amend the US Constitution to have Congress selected by parliamentary type elections so that the Speaker of the House functions like a prime minister. House districts based on population such that party with majority chooses the Speaker.
