Vad är det som får Ebba Busch att vakna en lördagsmorgon och vara rädd för ett heltäckande klädesplagg som tidigare bedömningar uppskattar att otroligt få kvinnor bär, det mesta talar för att de skulle rymmas i en större lokalbuss, så mycket att hon kräver ett förbud?

Another stupid thing of mine was to obsessively play the guitar for the last near-half-century. Certainly helped when I only recently started building my own half-instruments!

Indeed, it takes a fool to remain sane, even. Sane enough to start spending serious time doing new stupid things as an autistic burn-out aged 59; done-for-life with regular employment. But then again, I've spent my entire life on different stupid things (and jobs) for fun. No regrets!

Guitar amp workshop, at Chez Pastor Bentonit and Zelda, Southernmost Swedish countryside.

Prototype 10W single-ended amp, derived from vintage 5F2/6G10 Fender models.

Finished prototype 5F2/6G10 combo, 2x8" speakers, cabinet built from scratch using edge-glued pine shelving, Baltic birch ply, and vinyl covering from China (Temu). Sounds fkn *incredible* and looks the part too!

Lots of stupid guitars and guitar amps in my workshop.

And yes, gender segregation in Chess is also bollix. You get better by playing better players! Pic 1: Judit Polgar, best of the three Polgar Sisters, and World top-ten carreer highest rank, open category. Pic 2: Divya Deshmukh, WC Candidate, W category, playing a lot of open-category tournaments.

GM Judit Polgar (Hungary) playing two different World Champions, decades apart. Yes, she was *that* good and didn't play any individual Women's category tournaments for almost her entire carreer.

GM Divya Deshmukh drawing the current World Champion GM Gukesh Dommaraju, in the recent FIDE Grand Swiss open tournament (Round 8). She played that tournament to gain experience against toughest-possible opposition, and she's been doing so for some time now. Divya had already qualified - and been awarded the GM title - to the Womens' WC Candidate Tournament earlier this summer (by winning the FIDE Womens' World Cup Knockout Tournament) but subsequently entered the 'Open' WC qualification cycle, doing much better than expected as second-to-last seed (115/116) on ELO rating but finishing shared 72-85th place with 5/11 points. Oh, and she will of course play in the Open FIDE World Cup Knockout Tournament in Goa, India starting in a couple of weeks' time, gaining even more practice against higher-rated players, and for an off chance again to qualify for the Open Candidates' Tournament which will decide the challenger to Gukesh (current WC) next year. India is the leading Chess nation!

It is most definitely a sport (more so at top level, agreed), but also a game (or many! See Chess Variants), an art form (or many!), and even a field of science. All of these aspects may not be evident to the casual player, and certainly not to non-players.
