happy halloween i am ready to confuse some trick-or-treaters

My big problem with YA fiction is it's all stories of weird kids being weird and the world changing itself to celebrate and fit their weirdness, instead of genuinely useful advice like how to pretend to be normal so the idiots at school leave you alone.

Played in a Turnip grand battle yesterday, the forces of the Eel King did well in the field, but we brave defenders of Krotz threw them back from our walls. Much blood, much mud, entirely futile. #turnip28
6 foolish frog soldiers attempt to stop a thundering pack of shattered lancers. They did not succeed. At all. Not even a little. Squish. Painted miniatures, 6 armored knights on horses posed on a wooden boardwalk attacking 6 anthropomorphic frogs on foot with shotguns. Frogs peek out past the battered crenellations of Krotz. A painted miniature set of city walls with a ladder leaning against them. Several frog soldiers with shotguns are posed around the battlements, with a tattered flag held high. The flag reads 'LUTO RANAE FUMO' which in Latin reads 'MUD FROGS SMOKE' Shattered knights begin their assault on the walls of Krotz, here defended by Tod. Painted miniature cavalry lined up facing half-ruined walls manned by painted miniature soldiers. The Red Ribbon Society, blinded by the lies of the Eel King, joined in the attack on Krotz, opposing the rocket batteries of St Alamei bravely protecting the walls. Painted miniatures in serried ranks facing a ruined miniature city. There is a skull gate and ruins, and miniature rocket launchers and soldiers on the wall.
