Thread on the academic job market. I’m so lucky. I worked really fucking hard AND I am lucky. Eleven years in adjunct purgatory and I have more security now, but if I lose this job, if my program/dept ends, I’m not getting another job teaching.

I stumbled onto a small herd of Icelandic ponies near Gimli yesterday. They were a bit far from the road and the weather was nasty, but I managed to capture this lovely moment.
