Hello! I'm the author of the "10 Cent Universe", a sci-fi macrocosm of genre-bending stories. "The Starship Australis Mysteries" follows a disgraced detective on a generation ship, while "Gunslingers of Gaea" is a western series on a new planet orbiting Tau Ceti. Lots more books/series on the way!
I'm planning a January release of "Easy As It Gets", the 4th book in my #hardboiled #detective series on a #starship, and that means it's #Blurb Time! Thoughts?

'Netflix revamped Highsmith’s material with Ripley, which saw Andrew Scott taking over the iconic role...Ripley made creative choices that helped reframe the narrative into a twisty noir..such an engrossing, entertaining experience that it’s hard not to consume it over the course of just 1 sitting.'

Andrew Scott shines in Netflix's Ripley, a moody, atmospheric noir that reimagines Patricia Highsmith's iconic character for a new generation.

"Easy As It Gets" is off to beta readers!

Addiction plays a part in this hardboiled noir on a generation ship. While my own experience was tame, breaking free was no joke. I don't pretend to fully understand the depths one can be taken to, so songs like this have been on repeat this last year.📚🪐💙

This was a pleasant surprise today!

If you're wondering, as a #reader, how an #author feels about less than 5 stars, they're fantastic. Fives are great, but no book is perfect, nor a perfect fit for everyone. A 3 or 4 shows the reader engaged with my work and that's really what it's all about!🪐📚💙

Anyone else have a roll dough kneading song? In my house, it's "Bohemian Rhapsody", which at just under 6 minutes is the perfect amount of time.

I outsourced it to my daughter this year, and that dough is exquisite!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Do you know how much of the cover price goes to a trad published writer? About 10-15%.

The various types of indie pub get a higher percentage (but have to do more work with virtually zero publicity budget).

How many publishers have been put out of business by piracy? Not a lot. Writers, tho'...

It's been quite a journey with "Easy As It Gets", the 4th book in my #hardboiled #detective series on a #generationship. But as I'm writing the resolution, little bits are falling into place in ways I didn't quite anticipate and it is such a beautiful thing. #iamwriting

"It's been a funny year for me because Blue Moon is probably the most different I've ever pushed myself... And then The Lowdown — I just relate to Lee, he's Quixote, chasing windmills, running into propellers... he's a moron, and I just completely relate to him."
'Blue Moon' pushed Ethan Hawke to his limit: 'That's a thrilling spot to be in'
"Every now and then you bump up against a part that presses you to the wall of your ability," Hawke says of playing lyricist Lorenz Hart. Hawke is also starring in the film Black Phone 2.
