Yes there are. Too many corporations refuse to pay a living wage.

Huge companyies are encouraging their employees to apply for SNAP because they don’t pay them enough to survive.

The government encourages this & then blames the poor.

As someone who often ate what my mom called "Isn't It Payday Yet Soup," (what was in the cupboard got put into the soup), I have a deep, physical reaction to the idea that politicians on the Right in this country are starving kids for political leverage. Fuck them. And if this is you, fuck you, too.

Many Moons ago I quit a job I'd only had for 2 months 'cause the first check (only paid monthly, which they did not tell me which is bogus in itself) was late and the 2nd check bounced. I'd learned in the interim that their vendors weren't getting paid either. I took all of that (& more) as a #Sign.

We need a new word for those of us trying to avoid AI, if for no other reason than to keep from adding to the massive burden AI places on water and electricity.

Those avoiding drugs and alcohol have "sober."
Those avoiding processed food have "clean."

An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. It’s a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.
