I'm in the same boat. Fondest wish as a child was to be a published author, so that I could give some of the joy back books had given me. I wrote my whole life, a few years ago prolifically on two different formats, one of which is now defunct. I love(d) writing. I think I/we are depressed honestly.

So true. Trying to find ways to ameliorate the harm though since Pandora has opened this Box. 😕

I have so much trouble with this mindset. And know too many otherwise kind and intelligent people who use these 'services' without hesitation or contemplation of the impacts their "just a little question etc" (AI for example) makes. It's all cumulative! Gah!
