We do need training for aspiring translators, to help them develop those skills, but for translation itself, not low-quality slop editing.
It's going to be harder and harder to find skilled translators and get good quality translations if we pull the ladder up from behind us by pushing slop.

Qué cosas, ¿eh? Es casi como si quienes nos dedicamos a traducir en vez de a pontificar supiésemos bien en qué consiste nuestro trabajo por lo desempeñamos día a día y le viésemos las costuras enseguida a la bazofIA neoliberal que va haciendo lobby por ahí.
En estos tres meses de máster me he dado cuenta de una cosa que, sinceramente, me alivia un poco.
Los profesores que son académicos son pro IA pero los traductores en activo que nos han dado clase la demonizan (gracias).

La IA generativa es una imposición que proviene de personas ajenas al sector creativo/cultural. No buscan que la creación artística tenga sentido, sino poder explotar comercialmente un resultado «aceptable» para una mayoría. El uso de la IAG refleja lo poco que se valoran nuestros oficios.

La semana pasada por fin me pasé a Tidal. No es la panacea porque el streaming de música da cuatro duros, pero Spotify llevaba ya hinchándome las narices por varios frentes.
