What's most often referred to as "resisting arrest" is the human animal's fight/flight/freeze response. Expecting someone to be able to control that when a thug with a badge is assaulting them is ludicrous.

for the resisting (not obstructing) part, per to illinois law, a person can only be arrested if there's "an underlying offense for which the person was initially subject to arrest."

Public transport, even at its most accessible, isn’t accessible for me.

It’s not flexible enough, and I simply cannot carry anything that I’d need to bring with me (or bring home) due to both hands being needed for crutches.

You cannot get rid of private cars completely.

i actually do think comic books count as american culture because nobody has any problems calling anime and manga "japanese culture". just because you don't like superheroes doesn't mean it isn't an art form with an interesting history considering it's more or less only a hundred years old
