"Do you know what it's like to be inside an iron lung? I do."

I redesigned the science communications page on my website in a somewhat... unique way, you might say. I also wrote a little essay about my experience inside an iron lung.

Watched S01E01 of Paradise and I have not ever been more annoyed at a tv show. I include Lost. And any number of season finales for shows which failed to do justice to what came before.

The requirement for cranking up a new data center should be providing all the renewable energy you need. You run out, you stop running.

Energy at this scale is basically a raw material for these enterprises, we don’t provide spools of cotton for the sun-dress factory.
NC5: “TVA leaders said data center growth now equals power for 6 MILLION homes… AI demand projected to double by 2030… TVA reverses coal plan closure…”

As Trump, Beaman move to privatize TVA— and @SenatorHagerty has his eyes on running TVA.

The world is comically deficient in animated 20 ton weights dropping onto caricatures of, say, Elon Musk and Donald J Trump, for example. Whither thou goest, Bugs Bunny?

RIP Robert Tinney (November 22, 1947 – February 1, 2026), the artist famous for his playful covers for Byte magazine, a hobbist magazine that ushered in the microcomputing age from the mid-70s through the 90s. I'm honored to have included his work in my own art collection.

Thread on the takedown of PlainSite's YouTube channel. The details of what just vanished are worth knowing about. And if you want backups of what you put on YouTube channel, back it up. yt-dlp is one tool for that purpose. Capriciousness in hosting is BAD HOSTING.
YouTube just terminated PlainSite's YouTube channel, which posted certain Epstein Files video directly as provided by the government, because doing so purportedly violated YouTube's "spam, deceptive practices and scams" policy.

For real. Providing the Epstein Files is a "scam" according to Google.

Look for simple sentences about what you do all day. A good one will be true for you, and repeating it to yourself will strengthen your resolve.
