hater of Trumpers, Tankies, Leftists, and NIMBYs
this is a very dumb thing to defend from current and former NYT people doing that circling the wagons BS the industry loves to do
As a former member of NYT’s finance team & the co-author of this story exposing the relationship between Epstein & Bill Gates as well as one on Epstein & JPMorgan, I am really frustrated to see people claiming that NYT sat on publishable info about Trump and Epstein 🧵 www.nytimes.com/2019/10/12/b...

I'd much rather have the one safe D district that contains all of SLC rather than splitting the city up into 4 very R districts that doesn't comply with Prop 4, it's an easy choice
I'm going to die on the hill that Utah's redistricting outcome is actually bad for democracy.

We don't have a single competitive congressional district which means parties can retreat to polarizing treatment of each other rather than build roots in communities in order to win close races.
For decades, any Utah Democrat who wanted to go to Congress had to campaign as a moderate or conservative. Now that the state has a solidly blue congressional seat, though, running as a progressive is suddenly an effective strategy.

we really should not "gotta hand it to Lauren Boebert" this time or any other time
COMMENTARY: It appears Rep. Lauren Boebert did a brave thing today and deserves all our thanks. #copolitics

The new #UT01 is the first time Salt Lake County has gotten a Congressional district all to itself since the 90s and as such, it's a safely Democratic district.

It backed Harris by 24 points last year, so the main feature next year will be a potentially explosive primary

Sarah Kendzior is legitimately insane and has been for the last several years
The account owner of @sarahkendzior.bsky.social was suspended for 72 hours for expressing a desire to shoot the author of an article. The post, made 11/10, stated: "I want to shoot the author of this article just to watch him die." 1/2

I do wonder how Ben McAdams would fare in a Harris +24 district with his more moderate stances vs others like Riebe/Mendenhall/Wilson/
Breaking: Judge Gibson rejects the Legislature’s congressional boundaries. Chooses the plaintiffs Map 1. A solid northern SLCO district that strongly favors a Democrat.

if you're yelling at unpaid staffers, you don't deserve to be in civilized society
You ever call a senator's office and ask the staffer who picks up what it's like to work for someone without a spine?

10/10 recommend.

Bernie will endorse shitty unvetted candidates like he always does and will flop, he needs to go fuck off
In addressing whether removing Senator Schumer as leader should be an issue in Democratic primaries, Senator Sanders broadens the focus: "We need to take on the Democratic establishment all over this country."

Whitehouse derangement syndrome but from the left
“If we fight united”

That’s it, Senator, no one believes you will. Not Trump and the GOP, who will go even harder now that they’ve seen what makes the Democratic caucus crack and fold. Not the base, which feels betrayed after helping the party to an electoral win.

Any plans to change anything?
That December vote is a huge moment we can turn into a victory. People are watching. Good bill, we win; they cheat, they will lose. If we fight united.
