I'm proud to announce Reality Drift, a roguelike racing game where your choices matter. Race through a series of strange worlds, choose upgrades for your car and decide which track will be next - your decisions are just as important as how you drive!

Just tried Lumines Arise and Llamasoft's I, Robot in VR. The latter especially improved by it, as it makes it much easier to see what's going on - much like in one of Llamasoft's previous games, Polybius

Posts like this reliably do big numbers but I have to say it certainly doesn't reflect my experience at a state school with lots of underprepared and first generation students. Most of them are doing about the same quality and effort they've been doing since I started teaching
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

Part of me feels like Dark Souls wouldn't have caught on if the first game had difficulty settings. It'd be "cheap", "pointless", etc.

Arcade games had a relatively granular difficulty option via credit feeding and it played a big part in them written off as "button mashers"/"quarter munchers".

This is why it is good that financial literacy is going to be taught in schools. On average, if you are 20, you should save in an index fund and not worry about it for decades, and he should know this!
Josh Hall, 20, is 'worried' about how the cash ISA allowance cut announced in Wednesday’s Budget will affect his long-term savings plans

in 1st century Judea, the corners of every field had to be left for the poor to pick crops for themselves, every seventh year *all* of the crops from fields and vineyards and orchards belonged to the poor, and all debts of all types were cancelled every 50th year.

Fascinating that the cash ISA limit is the most unpopular item in the budget. I would have thought it would be unpopular but not more so than e.g. freezing tax thresholds.

After ~400 hours of Civ 6 I still have barely any understanding of what anything on this screen means, or how this relates to the tourism number shown at the top of the main screen

The government figuring this out slowly over the coming two years is going to be quite something to behold.
I think the government meant to cut net migration but have accidentally overshot the target by a lot. They haven’t realised this yet.

Sektori is one of the best games I’ve played all year. Design perfection, a fantastic soundtrack, it’s almost impossible for me to put down. I need every sicko reading this to play it. For @aftermath.site aftermath.site/sektori-shoo...

Okay, it's been a week since release. Reception has been AWESOME, much much more than I expected for such a niche thing! Thank you! ❤️ A few thoughts (thread).
This is Sektori! A twin-stick shooter I've been making (and documenting the journey) since April 2021. And it finally launched TODAY on Steam, PS5 and Xbox! Here's a fresh launch trailer, all shares highly appreciated. More game info in replies.

Last night I played Civ 6 until 3am, and I didn't want to repeat that mistake, so I decided to play a game with shorter sessions.

I then played Sektori until 3.05am

⭐ Here is my small suite of websites that I find super useful when writing! ⭐

Heads up for indie devs, the Steamworks wishlist page is broken. It's currently saying that I have 100k wishlists (I wish!), with a graph which has the correct shape and dates, but the wrong numbers. Other devs have seen similar issues.

Back in 2001, the people I lived with bought some kittens. I used to hang out with them a lot.
