Q: At the end of this year, those extended Obamacare subsidies expire. What's your message to those 24m Americans who will see their premiums go up?

TRUMP: Don't make it sound so bad. Obviously you're a sycophant for Democrats. You're obviously a provider of bad news for Republicans.

Ok! Wasn't expecting that
I just received a phone call from Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. Secretary Noem informed me that the president signed our request for an emergency declaration. We have also received written confirmation of that emergency declaration.

God the gut punch.
25 years ago today, SCOTUS elected George W Bush president of the United States by blocking completion of a voting canvass in Florida. A subsequent canvass by the Associated Press showed that Bush's rival, Al Gore, had won the race in Florida—and thus the contest for the presidency—by 700 votes.

the biggest part of the story is how badly he failed at the extortion
This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

The centrist wing frequently rewrites their leaders to be as progressive as they need to be, while demanding no actual action from them. Just be "on the right side," and they'll laud you for your words and dismiss the lack of action. Even if you don't use the right words, they'll say you did.
Centrist Democrats have the right to their opinions but people like my friends @robynelyse.bsky.social and @clairewillet can probably confirm how few centrist Dems were at those anti-Iraq War protests in 2003.

The order would reclassify cannabis from Schedule I — the same level as heroin — to Schedule III — the same level as Tylenol and codeine and some steroids.
