As I mentioned, I've been invaded by butterflies of all kinds after the disastrous rains over the past few days. I'm not exaggerating, there have been at least 50+ species. These are just the ones I managed to shoot while they were perched 1/n 🧵

Nothing happened here, the storm went around us...

A dark brown butterfly with a velveted body is perched over a set of very small white flowers, its big black eyes are seen as also its small antenna.

A butterfly with a pattern of orange, yellow and black stripes on its wings and white dots in an arch is perched over a set of very small white flowers. The body of the butterfly presents a dark colour on the head and thorax with white dots. The abdomen has an orange/yellow tone under the abdomen and black on the top of the same. The antennae are yellow on the top.

A brown butterfly with a velvety body, a tail-like structure at the end of its wings, and white lines that fade into brown on the outer half of its wings is perched on a cluster of tiny white flowers. The wing tips of the front pair of wings have a milk chocolate tone and posses clear ring around its dark eyes barely visible.

A completely black butterfly is seen perched over small white flowers, the butterfly has prominent dark eyes with a pale orange or yellow proboscis which is using to drink nectar from the flowers. There are also thin mustard lines between the head and the thorax.
