You gently run your hand through the rack. You can feel it—pure cotton, rich wool, Irish linen. The plump buttonholes are handsewn; the buttons attached with a firm shank. You flip the price tag over. It's affordable

You buy the jacket and go home, which is only 15 mins away. Your apt is $600/month

I just checked and this is real. It's on Border Patrol's official Instagram (I don't see it on Facebook) and is being celebrated by Nazis on Twitter, as you can see in the screenshot.

The clip is just 13 seconds long too, so it's a very intentional thing. We've got a Nazi government.
Twitter account: Uncensored @HmanQuotes1945: Official border patrol Facebook page is posting with the banned lyrics of Michael Jackson's song.

But, should The People take the bit in their teeth, and figure out how to do organised violence... it won't be 1861 USA, it will be 1970s N. Ireland.

The Forces of the State can't be everywhere; but the Resistance can't afford to be obvious.

one way to make stories like this matter is to just share it. conservatives are very good at sharing stories that further right wing narratives. liberals assume "everybody has seen it" when 99.99999% of the time nobody in your circle has seen it.

To everyone who says, "But this won't matter": *MAKE IT MATTER.*

You have that power! This is not inside baseball and your friends and neighbors will likely be appalled. And if they're *not* appalled, don't be cynical yourself. Take the lead, give the cue.

Americans, this is who we are now...

Just spoke to a lifelong friend in Canada, who is selling their winter home in America and refuses to spend another dollar here as it would be supporting terrorism. She views our government as a terrorist organization and refuses to buy any American products of any sort.

I selected my new employment partially based on that it was accessible via public transit (OCTranspo O-Train Line 1). I sold my old Mazda hatchback, got a Presto transit pass, signed up for Communauto car sharing, and have not purchased a new car since. And I am perfectly happy.

Designed-in car dependency, surging car prices, longer loan periods with more interest.

Sound like “freedom” to you?

Sad news about the maestro, Drew Struzan. Back in the early '90s when I was new to the business, I had a very lucky experience visiting him in his studio in Pasadena with a group of other artists. To this day, I am amazed at the originals I got to look at that day.

RIP, sir.

Pondering the equivalent Loki rules. I think Rule One would be "never use a contraction if you can help it when Loki is speaking. He's an eternal deity. He's got time to say the whole word. Also he's fancy and pretentious."

Wile E Coyote's rules were both spoken and very specific.
The Rules:

1. The Road-Runner cannot harm the Coyote except by going “beep-beep!”

2. No outside force can harm the Coyote—only his own ineptitude or the failure of Acme products.

3. The Coyote could stop anytime—if he were not a fanatic. (Repeat: “A fanatic is one who redoubles his effort when he has forgotten his aim.” –George Santayana)

4. No dialogue ever, except “beep-beep!”

5. The Road-Runner must stay on the road—otherwise, logically, he would not be called Road-Runner.

6. All action must be confined to the natural environment of the two characters—the southwest American desert.

7. All materials, tools, weapons, or mechanical conveniences must be obtained from the Acme Corporation.

8. Whenever possible, make gravity the Coyote’s greatest enemy.

9. The Coyote is always more humiliated than harmed by his failures.
