Is it wrong that I really like this?

I have grave news; enshittification has come for Club biscuits.
I wish someone had told us this sooner, would have saved a lot of hassle.
A local estate agent gave us a realistic price and timescale. Told us the inflated price the chain estate agents would give us and why it would make it harder to sell the house. We didn’t listen. Four months in, dumped the chain, went with independent and sold within three weeks at correct price.

many kings did not, historically, have the kind of powers Trump is claiming! wars were often fought over it! the English literally beheaded a king over the balance of power between the king and parliament!

a king would, in some ways, be an improvement over what he's trying to do
JFC, even the countries WITH kings are doing it better than we are.

This should lead to Calgie being exiled from any decent journalistic circle.

It won't, of course
A mainstream “journalist” calling for a British MP to be deported. Is it because I’m Muslim? Next time, just say it with your chest.

A revealingly creepy formulation by Speaker Johnson.

What does he mean by “they” are going to “descend” on “our” capital?

WE are going to assemble in OUR communities exercising OUR constitutional rights in defense of OUR nation.
Johnson: “They're going to descend on our capital for their much-anticipated so-called ‘No Kings’ rally. We refer to it by its more accurate description: 'The Hate America' rally. I'm not sure how anybody can refute that."

The chances that Robert Jenrick *literally* went to "more than a few football matches in the away end" at Villa Park *in the 1980s* (ie, before his 8th birthday on 8.1.1990) are vanishingly small to non-existent. (He may have been in the away end at Villa Park as a child or teenager in the 1990s)

Some are querying whether Andrew can renounce a dukedom without an Act of Parliament.

But you can parse a duchy and he’s left outside.

Good night.

If you're thinking of supporting the Green's it's important to know about all their views, especially of their leader.

Full NATO membership should never, ever be up for question.

Yet Zack supports leaving and it's even sometimes been official Green Party Policy.

OPUS DEI IS THE SCIENTOLOGY OF CATHOLICISM THEY ARE THE ONLY THING "THE DA VINCI CODE" GOT RIGHT THEY ARE AWFUL AND THEY ARE EVIL AND THEY HAVE ENORMOUS POWER AND THEY ARE INTEGRAL TO TRADFASH CATHOLICISM
BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV is set to effectively disband Opus Dei in the coming weeks.

This would be the most sweeping internal reform of his pontificate — and a dramatic continuation of Pope Francis’s legacy.
NEW: Pope Leo Set To Break Up Opus Dei
If Pope Leo does indeed approves a plan that effectively dissolves Opus Dei’s structure, it would be the most significant internal action of his short pontificate to date.

The Home Office redacted a load of files they sent me (long story) and one of the things they redacted was the name of a journalist; except they included not only the title of the paper he worked for, but also the front page headline for a story that he had written.
Learned that an anonymous outside expert on submersibles did an interview with the OceanGate Titan investigation, and they released a transcript, with all the names redacted. The first line of his first answer? "I'm sure you're familiar with my film Titanic."

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.

I've decided to stop trusting experts.

Really looking forward to my forthcoming surgery being carried out by my mate Dave.
He's not an expert surgeon, but he is quite good with a chainsaw and has watched several series of House.

Who needs experts?
RFK Jr: We need to stop trusting the experts... Trusting the experts is not a feature of science or democracy, it's a feature of religion and totalitarianism.

It's amazing the number of people who want to deny/dismiss the hypnoboobs thing without... just going back and reading the article.

It's not defensible. The direct quotes are clear. He wasn't misrepresented and it's not a hit job.

He genuinely did claim he could alter women's bodies with his mind
Ive read the article. That wasnt what he claimed.

These are his direct quotes. Note how he says he can *literally* affect physical charactistics with his mind.

Marie McGowan, 89, has died 3 years after a brutal assault during which she was put headfirst into a rubbish bin. Her attacker, Alex Bailey, believed she was "a man dressed as a woman."

This is the world the transphobes are creating "to protect women."

RIP Marie. share.google/PFaI5YTh9tBw...
