Big fan of free speech and academic freedom. Strongly recommend avoiding UNH Franklin Pierce Law until change to less toxic leadership and more positive student treatment. She/her or gender neutral pronouns.

It sounds like a terrible situation. Harassers at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law seem to get special protections too. With no media coverage and no administrative intervention, they do as they like.

Looks like USC Law has been dragging this out for years. They have all the money and power and control. I'm glad Professor Rich is fighting this. I wish I could help.
Wow, seems like USC might want to not drag this one out — the spouse, a law professor, fathered a child with a student

He was a brilliant comedian and a really good person overall as far as I could tell.
Richard Franklin Lennox Thomas Pryor (December 1, 1940 – December 10, 2005) was an American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. He reached a broad audience and was widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential stand-up comedians of all time. #BlackHistory

Yet another long feature article about political violence that refuses to acknowledge the basic reality that right-wing violence is far more common than left-wing violence.

The other thing about the OU student who wrote the bad essay on God-given gender roles is that she herself is rejecting those religious ideals about femininity by going to college, playing a sport, and having a mother who is a media personality and lawyer for Jan 6ers. Trad for thee but not for me
Sorry to be a broken record but it's nuts to me that the New York Times would write an entire article summarizing a court ruling and refuse to provide a link to said ruling. This is a disservice to readers. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/01/n...

When we limit abortion access to “exceptions,” we send the message that women must first suffer before they are trusted with choice. That is not justice. That is control.

This #CupOfJoe goes out to every woman, every choice, every time.

exactly. plus, the nature of the claim isn’t limited to this assignment or any written assignment. it’s also a nightmare for classroom environment. students use viewpoint to disrupt class discussion all the time. bless that with 1A doctrine and poof, a heckler’s veto.

I got in big trouble for telling law students that the terms sex and gender are not used consistently across legal contexts. Even though this is a correct assessment.

NEW: Livestock graze on millions of acres of Western public lands. Congress dramatically reduced scrutiny of the impacts. As Trump seeks to expand grazing, we look at the consequences.

One point that may have been lost: I’ve never seen this ad before.

It’s only when I searched for Mexican folk music tonight that YouTube started running it.

Google’s surveillance technology has enabled the government to selectively terrorize specific groups in service of white supremacy.
Listening to Mexican folk music on Youtube and they're running this horrible ad urging people to self-deport.

Fuck you Kristi Noem, and fuck you Google for taking her money.
The news has entirely failed to grasp the unprecedented scope of the ICE and DHS budgets. Nothing like it in modern history. A galaxy of public/private surveillance and caging institutions for $100,000,000,000s unleashed on a public that will be forever changed. www.brennancenter.org/our-work/res...

This is not true. Musk is endorsing (again) a version of the white nationalist great replacement theory, as told by Stephen Miller.

It is a conspiracy theory and it was confined to the fringes of the Internet until 10 or so years ago.

If true, Harris would’ve easily won in 2024.
This is actually quite brilliant, up to and including the final sentence 🔥
I was diagnosed with #HIV in 1998, when I was 30.
Many of my friends had died of AIDS. I did not expect to live to 50.
I’m 58 now.
HIV treatment works.
Treatment also makes it impossible for me to pass HIV on during sex.
Ensure HIV treatment for all.
End HIV stigma.

This is the specific price of racism. When people simply can't conceive of people who are somewhat different from them accomplishing great things. So they obstruct the great things and we all lose.

Wild that this guy teaches Contracts.

I get the academic freedom argument for not firing someone even for … utterly INSANE … views, like his, but 1Ls don’t get to pick their profs, and no one should have to be in class w someone like this against their will.
