Tragic to see such a beloved satire publication publish such bullshit.
Bowser would never endorse Andrew Cuomo for mayor, because Bowser actually respects women.

Bowser has endorsed Andrew Cuomo for mayor of New Donk City.

I was wondering why @jetbrains.com took effort to obscure that "Full Code Completion" plugin uses AI. Now I know.
Their products will harvest your code for AI training. It sends "complete data about interactions with large language models", which means everything, if you use Full Line Completion.

i love the domino effect of trans people asking the moderation team to take harassment of trans people seriously and instead decided to perma ban a black guy who was one of the earliest users here
So… Łink’s account is permabanned from Bluesky’s appview, but also gets banned from:
WhiteWind
Skylight
Bluescreen
Flashes
Basically all ATproto apps/projects?
WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT OF THIS PROJECT THEN?

Parenting is hard, but I can't imagine depriving myself of the opportunity to invent stories for my kid.
It isn't just to entertain them. You're sparking their creativity and imagination, a gift that will last them forever.
Shame on any parent doing this, and fuck Altman.

Some parents are letting their kids talk to ChatGPT in the guise of characters. Some are using it to tell bedtime stories or create coloring books.
"My son thinks ChatGPT is the coolest train loving person in the world. The bar is set so high now I am never going to be able to compete with that.”

‘My son genuinely believed it was real’: Parents are letting little kids play with AI. Are they wrong?
Some believe AI can spark their child’s imagination through personalized stories and generative images. Scientists are wary of its affect on creativity

this business model should be flatly illegal
taking on a bunch of debt to buy a company and then burning the company to the ground to service that debt while paying yourselves huge fees is a purely destructive practice that has never once had a positive outcome
ban it completely

It’s official: EA is going private.
The leveraged buyout will be financed by a staggering $20 billion of debt, which likely means some *aggressive* cost cutting is ahead for EA in the coming months and years.

I’ve said it before, any judge who so comfortably and clearly shows their prejudice should immediately be barred from their jobs, but we don’t live in a world that makes sense.
We live in a world where white people get to deem racism as a simple inconvenience and be the sole arbiter of its weight.

Bob Iger's stock really had the ride of a lifetime.

The most painful thing about this article is that the author was probably paid for this than I've collectively earned over a decade of writing online.
By using reason to understand his emotions, the 17th-century philosopher Baruch Spinoza “canceled his cancelers where it really mattered: in his own mind,” Arthur C. Brooks writes. His techniques reveal how to prevent emotional hijack:

Media execs have fallen prey to a propaganda and harassment campaign that has completely divorced them from what people actually want right now.
Both their insular information environments (group chats, podcasts) and ambient noise (Twitter reactionaries) have put them in a very stupid bubble.

currently at record-high search interest for canceling disney plus. pulling kimmel is a bigger deal to the company's bottom line than any of the "woke" scandals of the past 5 years. i think news & entertainment corp execs need put more work into understanding their audience, & get off twitter

Controversial opinion, but Zaslav is such an inspiration. Even when I think back to the stupidest decisions I've made, I know they don't come close to the monumental brainlessness this man produces with each breath.
David Zaslav thinks that HBO Max is "way underpriced" and confirms that price hikes and subscription cost increases are coming.
