As a lifelong New Englander, white people here (of which I am one, for the record) love to engage in racism as long as they can find an angle to pretend it isn't about race. They just so happen to be afraid of the neighborhoods with nonwhite majorities, but it's because of "crime" and "gangs".

The Frankfurt School had a completely unrelated idea that was also called "Cultural Marxism", so the people peddling this crap point to them and claim it proves them right. But the Frankfurt School idea was simply analyzing and critiquing art and culture from a Marxist perspective.

For anyone unfamiliar, "Cultural Marxism" is a rebranding of the Nazi Party propaganda line "Cultural Bolshevism", which branded cultural elements, especially art and fashion, they didn't like as a conspiracy to bring about Communism (which they also claimed was a Jewish conspiracy).

Technologies. Levin's feed is full of the generally trolly "shitpost" memes common in right-wing spaces online. His (and Cuomo's) critics spotlighted a number of misogynistic and pro-Trump posts that Levin previously made, which would seem at odds with the values of Democrats like Cuomo. In one post, Levin said he was "kind of a big deal" because he voted for Trump in Pennsylvania. In another, he wrote "it's union busting time baby." And in yet another, Levin joked that he calls immigration officials on employees to avoid paying them.

And an hour after Cuomo's account posted the whiteboard meme, Levin posted from his personal X account,
"You're tryna rest and vest, I'm tryna save the west." Cuomo's campaign account then replied to that post,
"Don't get it but good rhymes."
The phrase "save the west" is commonly deployed on the right.
Examples include an X account with 30,000 followers that reposts memes about white people being "outbred" by Muslims, as well as the author of a book subtitled "Defending America from Political Islam" who runs the website savethewest.com.
