A good way for T'ruah to show that it is committed to being a "rabbinic call" to end the occupation would be to actually oppose their colleagues' abuse of the rabbinate to facilitate the illegal sale of Palestinian land in their synagogues.
T'ruah works for an end to the occupation and a negotiated political solution that will protect the rights of both Israelis and Palestinians. We emphatically support freedom of speech and the rights of protesters.

But protesters have certain responsibilities. 🧵 (1/3)

Call me old fashioned, I really feel like the President and Speaker of the House calling for members of the opposition party to be hanged to death should carry some kind of political or legal consequences!

Donald Trump doesn't want to release the Epstein files because he's in the files.

Trump is in the files because he was "best friends" with Epstein for years.

He was "best friends" with Epstein for years because they were abusing women and girls together.

His attacks won't change any of that.
‘Democrats are going to come to regret this’: After Epstein vote, Trump ready to attack
The White House is frustrated about being backed into a corner on the Epstein vote. They plan to punish Democrats for it.

Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.
