Personally I don't want to fund fascism through my tax dollars, I prefer Canada as a democracy.

In the past couple of months, CBC has been doing a lot of heaving lifting for fascists with their "both sides" framing. CBC, we can save you from the CPC, but you have to at least try to save yourselves (and us) from fascists. WWII Veterans did not die for us to act like this in Canada.

There's so many things wrong with that clip. What stands out to me, and both are terrible: a) total ignorance about how policy governance works at the highest levels of federal government, b) willful ignorance/denial about a).

Very good point - despite not having school-aged kiddos, we made a point to vote for Trustee. Against coordinated and well-funded right wing campaigns, those votes really matter.

Yeah I voted for the version of @mark-carney.bsky.social that called out the totalitarian antics for what they are, "crazy." But now it's our government that's crazy - cozying up to fascists.

We need a strong CP, including fair treatment for workers. I do not understand the strategy or timing behind this, which weakens CP when all the parcel competitors are U.S. companies. And, I don't think that every public service needs to turn a profit. Canada is vast, economics are challenging.
