The theme for 2025, “Human Rights, Our Everyday Essentials,” underscores that human rights are not abstract ideals to be taken for granted. Instead, human rights provide concrete protections and rights that we all enjoy every day. Human rights include our rights to safety, to free expression, and to a fair system of justice.
