Rand Paul just posted this letter from the Coast Guard confirming that 1/4 of the boats they stop carry no contraband. The likelihood that Hegseth & Bradley ordered the murder of innocent civilians is very high.

Your stance is directly correlated to why in the 2020s I no longer start a new year with "I bet this new year will be different." We're in the getting worse before it gets better portion of the epic saga.

💯"may" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence.

Fog of war implies smoke and debris from enemy defensive or offensive tactics. Big zero there.

This silly piece about the King of Sweden was my favourite last week, hopefully he found it funny as well. Yetts PLJANE. www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5eX...

Funny skit by This Hour. My only complaint watching it last week was a bad case of cognitive dissonance. Writing such an entertaining children's book is well beyond the abilities of #47.

But with no A/C, even during summer months. That's the warrior ethos.

I thought MIT was in the doghouse for their questionable AI research? MIT saying the "iceberg index" is a "a skills-centered KPI for the AI economy" is peak word salad. And the yahoo news article, chef's kiss for use of "idicates". 🤣

This is what has been on my mind too, even if this is 4D chess (?!) what is being wasted right now is our collective goodwill. The PM job isn't running a Central Bank backroom dealing to come out on top. Democracy needs civic participation not the smartest person in the room.

And, actual inspiring, clear leadership matters. Even giving the PM the benefit of the doubt that this is all genius political backroom brinksmanship - none of us understand what the LPC actually stands for today. Community trust is an increasingly scarce quality that's been squandered in 6 mths.

I do not see any of the Canadian values you have listed being consistently reflected in the actions and policy directions of the Federal Government. Stating values without aligned actions creates cynicism and distrust, both of which are extremely dangerous to Canadian sovereignty and the LPC.

Great reminder from when we still had critical thinking! People out there are saying all kinds of nonsense like AI should be a Board Member. I wrote about this a little while ago, still scratching my head. In between hitting it against the wall. bsky.app/profile/alli...
This one's for the governance folks who love thought experiments and hate nonsense. 😉

Really surprised by some of the inane comments coming from governance "experts" about AI in boardrooms. Like, "is it time to get an AI Director" on the Board?! 🤦
AI Board members: a monkey with a crystal ball? | Alli Marshall posted on the topic | LinkedIn
Riddle me this: what do a monkey with a crystal ball and some of the latest discussions on AI and governance have in common? It all started a couple of weeks ago, when a corporate governance expert a...

2025 and genAI is serving up: we get the ____ we deserve, not the ____ we need across all aspects of life.

Yes, and my big takeaway from the excerpts (not going to fund the substack) is that they're both terrible and completely unethical people who *really* deserved each other. I had initial sympathy for Lizza but he destroyed that.

I noticed the same thing. I wonder when he's going to get some lip gloss to go with the exaggerated open mouth affect that is a defining feature of Rep. spokesperson communication. Did they all get training?
