The AAA industry is collapsing under its unethical weight. MSFT fired thousands to afford the AI moneysink.

But games are art. And they can no easier kill our medium than they can kill the pen, paintbrush, or camera.

The impulse was already there and had been for a while, white nationalism isn’t new. GG caused the creation/expansion of online infrastructure for networking, community building (mainly among young online people) and spreading/testing of tactics and propaganda. But it didn’t invent the fasc wheel.

I haven’t seen major conversation about this in a minute, but having a studio in a state that bans abortion and has criminally prosecuted people for having miscarriages without a remote option sends the message that you value low taxes over your employee’s lives.

It’s misogyny, plain and simple.
