Realize there might be other things on sale today...but I'd really appreciate it if you considered buying a physical print of your favorite piece of painfully detailed pixel art instead 😅🙏

That will show Jeff Bezos and the rest!

Another one for the "we are ruled by hollowed-out husks who believe in nothing but their own untouchability" files
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

I think a lot about Trump himself waving away due process as an exasperation to what he wanted to do. "We don't have time to give 20 million people their day in court" should've immediately gotten everyone who's not MAGA on board with loud and unequivocal support for immigrant's rights
This is the scandal. Trump isn’t targeting dangerous people. He’s targeting peaceful immigrants. Almost exclusively.

I try to spread this every year but as a descendent of Myles Standish (who is featured to some extent in thanksgiving fiction/mythology) I'd like to re-broadcast that he is not a hero and should be thought of as a sick fuck for doing things like inviting men to dinner and surprise murdering them.

Next week the House E&C Committee is looking to run something of a shock and awe campaign, debating at least 19 bills that they say are related to "protecting kids online." Most of which are actually about censorship and control. Don't buy the framing. It's always the same damn thing.

Guys, as a ex call center employee, this is fucking DESPERATION BEHAVIOR.

Pizza and ice cream once may be an entire year's planned discretionary budget for a team, they do NOT value them enough to provide common comfort. If their doing this? Their not just scared, their TERRIFIED.
Spoke with a source who told me the call volume is so high, a call center for both Mastercard & Visa is bringing out pizza and ice cream so agents don’t quite amid the rush. Long waits are causing dropped calls.

What you’re doing is working. Call MC & Visa.

It would be extremely cool if a bunch of people called payment processors over Black Friday weekend to ask why they're telling people what they can and can't buy with their own money. This holiday season, give the gift of calling payment processors over Black Friday weekend

Fundamentally, and I have said this many times before, the thing with piracy discourse remains the fact that "piracy is a problem" is an as-yet unproven assertion. Set aside the impossibilities of actually stopping piracy in a way that doesn't kneecap yourself; first you need to show your work

Calling authors petit bourgeoisie is indeed insane. We are artisans and we deserve to profit from our labor.

That said, digital piracy has never been shown to represent actual lost sales, and may in fact DRIVE sales. I think authors should cool out about it.
We’re not small business owners, ffs - we’re independent contractors, and we are routinely robbed by the world’s dumbest dingbats.

When you fight censorship, you're also fighting for things you might not exactly like and it's something you gotta get comfortable with. I promise you, the fetish game you turn your nose up at is NOT YOUR ENEMY. You must think of the bigger picture, you must not fall for the bait.

Now is NOT the time to be throwing the hentai games you happen not to like under the bus. Your rage should be directly at payment processors.
