I am the type of person who doesn't mind that, generally, if it will give me better context or even if it's just interesting information. I'll watch videos of professors lecturing for fun. But I get why it's very eye rolling for a lot of people.

I wanna listen to or read those at some point. I like a lot of the themes in them. At least with many of the themes and events in Baroque Cycle we can check wikipedia

It's not gay but it is GOOD and I hope you can read it and your partner digs it. Read aloud time is sooo good.

I did it by audiobook the first time because I still didn't quite know what I was getting into and I think hearing it helped me grok a lot of words to catch their translations. When I read the book out loud to my parents later, I was able to be their glossary to speed that up.
