You’ll notice that new developments in generative AI are always accompanied by new ways of depicting women without their consent—undermining their autonomy and harassing them—almost like it’s a pillar of the technology and its evolution

Indivisible ATL is excited to be part of a coalition leading a march after the rally.

See you at the Atlanta Civic Center at 10am.

Stick around after when we march!
No Kings 2 is coming to Atlanta on October 18!

(art via member Laura Borealis | @laura-gordon.bsky.social)
A hand-painted sign reads, “No Kings USA. October 18.” The letters USA are filled in with an American flag. There is also an image of the back, right side of the Statue of Liberty holding a wildly flaming torch. The text and image is on a blue background.

The first translation of Beatrix Potter’s The Tale of Peter Rabbit to appear in any language besides English was in a Japanese farming magazine in 1906.

The translation called Mr. McGregor Grandpa Mokubei and described him as “more fearsome than red and blue ogres”.

In the year of our lord 2025, why does the Atlantic give a shit if politicians are swearing.

For fuck’s sake, Tom Nichols.

Can both be true. Lots of missing context from the video—letter is days old in a rapidly-changing situation and video is undated. Video is about offering advice to the commander.

But, yeah. No need to get hopes up yet.
That was above and beyond the call of duty! Thank you!!
Why does the Wikipedia page for Asai Ryōi list Augustine of Hippo as a "see also"?

Y’all make sure you’re registered to vote for Rohit.

The PSC election is a big fucking deal, too!

TODAY—Mon, Oct 6—is the final day to register to vote in time for the November elections in Georgia.

Don’t miss you chance to have a say about who runs the Atlanta City Council, the Atlanta School Board, the Public Service Commission…

Even if you *think* you’re registered, be sure to check.
But schadenfreude is so much more fun! 🙃
JFC. The left likes to pretend we’re above spreading or believing misinformation.
Pretty sure the White House no longer admits reporters who do their jobs.

I can think of Atlanta reporters who do their jobs.

One was deported this week. 🫠

My poster was adopted and printed up by @indivisibleatl.bsky.social 😁 for distribution and use! Thank you thank you 🎯
A white woman white short, white hair looks playful to left, away from the camera. She holds up a sign with re-printed hand-painted art depicting a lighted candle inscribed with the words, “Unite in Light”; she is also holding a light behind the flame so the candle on the sign is actually alight.
My spouse dyed his hair purple this week and was apparently confronted by two neighborhood four year olds this morning who were both delighted and confused:

“You have purple hair like Rumi! My mom says purple hair is only in the movies!!!”

The deportation of Mario Guevara is deeply unjust and should sound alarm bells everywhere. An Emmy-winning journalist legally present in the United States was arrested for reporting on a protest.

Now he's being deported.
Oscar Guevara said he and his younger brother will head to El Salvador to bring their father cameras, clothes and other personal belongings.

“At least he is not dead, and that’s the only thing giving us hope,” Oscar Guevara said in Spanish.
BREAKING: Mario Guevara, the Atlanta-based Spanish-language journalist who was arrested covering an anti-Trump protest, has been transported to a Louisiana immigration facility, from where his family said he will be deported to El Salvador tomorrow at 11 a.m.

Watching The Hunger Games. 14yo has serious District One facial hair envy. 😅
That’s an issue I have with NSFW tags on socials. I have Ringu trauma—I can’t be the only one—but I don’t mind naked people at all. Why do I have to care about prudes if folks who like scary shit don’t have to care about me?

And don’t get me started on Americans and violence. Ugh.
Kinda hate red band trailers because I didn’t necessarily sign up to see an R-rated level of horror gore just because I wanted to see a movie with people saying fuck in it.
What about the entire failed neo-liberal project that left people searching for shitty solutions?

People are wrong to vote for racism, sexism, imperialism, and fascism. They aren’t wrong to be pissed.
Just took my kids to Atlanta’s Video Drome—the extremely indie/counter-culture DVD rental store.

They made fun of me on the way in, but boy had they changed their tunes on the way out.

Wondering about ditching even more streaming and getting a low-end DVD player.
