(We’re working with a coalition of progressive Atlanta orgs to raise a total of $10k. We’re more than halfway there!)
👋
Quick check in, how many people don’t know what was in the Target Swag bag because we were not going into Target. 🎯 ✋🏾

Today is a great day to spend time with your friends and family, do something good for your community, or shop at local, Black and immigrant-owned small businesses.

Skip the Target run, Home Depot christmas tree, or Amazon binge. Tell Trump enablers that #WeAintBuyingIt
We have to use every tool available to us - including our dollars. This Black Friday and weekend @blackvotersmatterfund.org asks you to join “We Ain’t Buyin’ It!” to send a message to Trump’s corporate enablers. Learn more about the companies targeted in this campaign here: weaintbuyingit.com

Guests for the first of two ribbon-cutting days for the new units at Georgia Power's nuclear-powered Plant Vogtle lounge on a temporary patio on May 29, 2024. Credit: Grant Blankenship/GPB News Professional staff for Georgia’s Public Service Commission say Georgia Power is vastly overestimating its need for new generation capacity due to the growth in data centers and that customer bills could rise because of that. The assertion was made in two separate reports prepared as written testimony by two different groups of experts as part of the PSC’s approval process for Georgia Power’s request for an unprecedented amount of new capacity the company says is demanded by the growing data center sector.
