I'm finally starting season 2 of "Finding Mr. Christmas," the Hallmark reality show where the most wholesome, non-toxic men in America compete for the chance to be a Christmas movie star (somehow a real job), judged by a gay man and Barbra Jean from "Reba"

it's the greatest show you're not watching

My employer, Dartmouth College, today boasts it's 1st Ivy "to launch AI at an institutional scale." It is doing this by partnering--"more than a collaboration"--with Anthropic, a company that stole the books of many faculty, me included, which many of us are suing.

I just finished reading this one (available in Australia! Yay!) and it's a perfect little gem: sharp and sweet, tired and tenacious, brutal and delicate. A very canny faery tale.
INCIDENTALLY you should know THE BUTCHER OF THE FOREST is currently ranked #700 for 'Mystery and Thriller' at Libro and I *know* we can get that up to 666

Do you remember when a woman started a racist rant at John McCain? He stopped her and admonished her.

NOT ONE of these people, members of Congress and the government, has the decency to do that.

NOT ONE.
Trump, continued: "What the Somalian people have done to Minnesota is not even believable. It’s not even believable. And a lot of it starts with the governor. A lot of it starts with Barack HUSSEIN Obama, because that’s when people started coming in... They want to kiss our country good night."

Can I let you in on a little secret?

Billionaire philanthropy isn’t charity.

It’s PR to distract you from low wages, labor exploitation, and a tax system that’s rigged for the rich.

What do these corporations have in common?

Netflix
Ford
Tesla
T-Mobile
Duke Energy
DISH Network
Metlife
Dominion Energy
United States Steel

In recent years, they all paid their execs more than they paid in taxes.

This is what a corporate-rigged system looks like.

Much, much more background here on the ongoing — and increasingly open — GOP movement to Christianize Texas public schools.
🧵🧵 Texas Republicans have been increasingly open and aggressive about Christianizing America via schools - to, in the words of the state education board chair, center classrooms around "GOD, GOP & USA."

That fight just escalated, and you should pay attention - because your state could be next.
