I had a friend who lived in Ashtabula, Ohio. I went to visit them, called to confirm that I got my ticket to "Ash-TAB-yuh-luh," and they cackled forca minute straight.

Please understand that all your favorite million-dollar IPs were created by artists that get nothing more than a typical company paycheck. They don’t get royalties on the sales and oft aren’t even rewarded with bonuses or anything for creating such a valuable brand.

We all have blind spots, especially those of us with inherent privilege. This is a reminder to those if us with such privilege (including myself); to become the best versions of ourselves, we have to consider our blind spots.
When fans call out sexism in AEW it's generally not because we think they looove sexism and love to be sexist on purpose, it's bc the sports and entertainment industries AEW is embedded in are sexist by default, sexism needs to be actively, thoughtfully worked against & sometimes they need reminding
