Nah, that's a show-ending angle. You do thst yo send the crowd home gasping. Putting it in the middle of the show - where Mox-KOR will mist certainly occur - is just poor show pacing.

Did you put out some sugar water for test little cutie? It's very clear they're asking quite politely.

And lots of cross-dressing.

Yeah, it was like a two-appearance deal to help out Cody since they're friends. The next time he showed up was the Cope Open, I think, like 3 1/2, 4 years later. That was after his big indy run, though, & he was pretty public about wanting a full-time gig with WWE or AEW. Neither seemed interested.

That's also a really good point. He should have won the whole thing to finally get revenge on Cena for making out with his girlfriend, then blaming it on her when it was very clearly consensual on both ends, then letting Kane throw him off the stage in a wheelchair.

John Cena is an awful friend.

Who the fuck is Griff Garrison?

Sicko minds think alike, I guess.

I think at the end of the day, he's still the WWF mark he was as a kid, & would certainly prefer that, sure. But if the offers were comparable, yet AEW would let him keep his name & still work the indies, he'd probably choose them. As you implied, though, I don't think they ever made such an offer.
November 21, 2025 at 7:09 PM
... but there's a chance that if he's thinking of stuff for others to do that he would have no chance to leach off of, since he won't be involved in the storyline on TV anyway... I don't know, I feel like there's a non-zero chance it could work.

There's a kernel of truth to what he says about Jericho... listen to his interviews or read his boos, and it's clear he is very much a guy who will question stupid stuff regarding his character's actions.

Whether he can do this selflessly for others remains to be seen...
November 21, 2025 at 7:05 PM
I very much like this. It's an organic thing from a one-off line in someone's promo that happensto fit, not something horribly forced or manufactured. It gives real, "Bret Hart called us degenerates, and we're wrestling for Gen-Xers, so we'll defiantly call ourselves D-Generation X" vibes.
November 21, 2025 at 6:51 PM
... and until recently, his insistence on keeping his own name was probably a dealbreaker for WWE, who will never see him as anything but a low-to-midcard guy.

So yeah, he relented in their game of chicken. I think after a certain point, in the face of the big payday, lots of wrestlers would.

This just in: Wheeler Yuta's godmother approves of attempted murder.

*babyface, obviously

Also, there are tense consistency issues, but you get what I'm saying. Regardless, I need to proofread more often.

The only way I kind of like this idea is if Cena actually went down to pin Hendry, but instead rolled him up in a small package and voluntarily reverses it so his own shoulders are down, actually giving Hendry an official WIN against him. One actually selfless act for bsbyfave Cena to finish on.

Those words are synonyms, Nikki.

That's the best part of going to a televised show, isn't it? Lol, might just be me.

I would have no expectations of him making the finals (fairly certain that's gonna be reserved for Takeshita-Okada), but losing to Okada in the semis via an unseen low blow or something would be great.
