What it's like 2 be friends with me #aew
There’s a popular podcast about one of my hobbies which, despite having hosts who are very smart & greatly respected by many of my friends, makes me feel insane every time I listen

“Stop listening to clips of the podcast that makes you feel insane”

I don’t understand what you’re saying

TK's gotta big honkin crayon box and he's sticking with ROYGB (indigo and violet are injured)

I do think a bunch of the specific women you listed aren't booked for a reason (injury, they're leaving, they're Serena Deeb), but there are so many women in ROH jail right now... free them TK...

ARE YOU SHITTING ME
February 3, 2026 at 5:41 PM
I have a lot of people blocked so maybe our timelines look different, are you seeing a majority of people like WOOOHOOO GOOD GUY REDEEMED? Because I've seen overwhelmingly like... frustration, maybe relief that he at least isn't trying to rehabilitate his image, but still disappointment

We don't need to collectively blow smoke up his ass for doing a "good" apology though

imo njpw's refusal to mix junior/heavy even when its thematically and character appropriate is an overall detriment to how interesting their booking could be

(I’m sure a lot of folks would bring him back if they thought they could get away with it, let this backlash be a reminder to em that they can’t lol)

I don’t know about personal accountability but I DO appreciate that he is just basically not welcome in the industry anymore in most countries, which is kind of astonishing given how much of a shitshow wrestling can be!

It is both physically and emotionally horny
February 3, 2026 at 4:28 PM
Yeah, I think it was a good statement and appreciate him taking accountability. He def could have eased off with not saying anything, I mean he already kind of was due to Speedball being a naughty branding genius. I do feel better having read it

Wishing him a very happy tanked merch sales to help internalize the lesson he does, thankfully seem to have learned
February 3, 2026 at 4:25 PM
I think Hangman’s explanation for the Scurll photo was understandable and nuanced, I appreciated his saying he isn‘t trying to rehabilitate the guy’s reputation - which was my main fear - but he’s still kind of on my shit list for now

I forget which PPV it was but had friends over for it, they had to leave about 2/3 of the way through, and there had been zero women’s matches. Despite Toni and Mercedes being 75% of why they were willing to give it a shot at all. Mortifying!

In my experience fans who are new to wrestling imprint on wrestlers based on how big they can play a fun archetype while passionately kicking their rivals. They do not care about famous (but not to them) men arguing about who was more right in a workplace grievance from the Bush administration

Casual wrestling fans aren’t a monolith, stop saying “AEW needs to do xyz for casual fans” if xyz is only to attract lapsed WWE fans. 95% of what you’d do to attract them would turn off totally new and curious wrestling fans. The remaining 5% is “sick video recaps” which I agree are great
February 3, 2026 at 3:12 PM
In my experience it’s actually TOTALLY fine for casuals who are new to wrestling, they tend to understand that if you hop into something partway through it will take a moment to figure out who’s who. It’s mostly fans who just expect it to be identical to WWE.

While a ROH tv deal would be great for many people, for many reasons, I fear we’d watch the women’s division shrink into the background in real time and it would destroy my spirit

Smile Dog jpg and Jennifer Lawrence in Die My Love
After their brutal attack on #AEWCollision, it's clear that Gabe Kidd and @ClarkConnors are nowhere close to finished with Darby Allin!

Watching the Tomasso Ciampa ROH compilation on YouTube and a) he rules b) I didn’t realize he was in the Embassy! I would love to see some of that history with Nana come up in AEW, especially if it leads to a program with Swerve…
February 3, 2026 at 2:50 AM
I personally think he's more likely to end up in NOAH, but I also don't think AEW has a responsibility to reject signees from NJPW, just because NJPW isn't doing a good job of retaining talent. It's not like AEW is the only place they're going when they leave.
February 3, 2026 at 1:41 AM
Wrestlers having options is not poaching. It's up to wrestling companies to make themselves appealing for the talent they are most invested in retaining
