North Carolina as of today has implemented a draconian law that makes it more difficult for people to be released pretrial. It eliminates entirely pretrial release with a written notice to appear, which is, quite frankly, the most retrograde thing I've seen.

I do think it's important to note this is also about banning concepts from instruction. I have no idea how registration at OU works. Maybe the Turning Points girl was able to register for her TA (bad!). But she certainly chose the psych class knowing it included gender as a concept (also bad!).

I encountered countless students in my time as a student who *paid for classes they intended to disrupt* and this was in 2005.
