Jumping the gun (err, sorry) a bit aren't we, talking already about 'rebuilding Gaza'. Even so, how many have even the beginnings of a clue about the challenges of doing *civilian* construction work in such a heavily bombed landscape -- *the* most heavily bombed on Earth, ever. Guessing rather few.

A mom in Houston reported her 15-year-old son with autism missing. She spent 6 days terrified, searching for him. The whole time, Houston police knew exactly where he was since they helped ICE place him in a refugee facility.

This is beyond cruel.

Is it embarrasing to work at Google these days? I know that one upon a time google was the crown jewel of silicon valley, a part of the web so integral it became a verb. But every AI summary is so likely to be riddled with errors it detracts from my research. Now "-AI" doesn't prevent AI summaries. You're giving me the trash I'm asking specifically to not get. This is dogshit.

NEW: There’s a disaster unfolding in Alaska right now. And no major network is covering it.

The remnants of Typhoon Halong battered western Alaska overnight. Homes, with people in them, have literally been swept into the Bering Strait.

At least 20 are missing. No comment from any federal agency.

If you've never been to Gaza, you won't appreciate what the yellow line means. Basically Israel now holds most of Gaza's small but important agricultural land. Continued Israeli occupation, which I judge the likely outcome, makes Gaza even more unliveable and more dependent on outside goods.

In contrast to the other side of the #Arctic, sea ice along the Atlantic front is a record low for this time of year. This relates to the recent record warmth and southerly winds/waves pushing the marginal ice zone closer to the North Pole.
