Govt accidentally revealed to ME the gender of the ‘spy’ I cross-examined in a Govt initiated #FOI appeal. Now they’re arguing (with your $$$) national security will be in peril if YOU know if the spy is a man or a woman🤦‍♂️. @albomp.bsky.social’s Govt’s gone secrecy mad! #auspol
Cone of Silence. Is secret Aussie spy in Rex Patrick case a man or a woman? - Michael West
Government's costly efforts to keep secret the gender identity of an Aussie spy, keeps it at 1 person in 18 million. What's the scam?

This spook scandal cries out for investigation. ANAO, IGIS & PJCIS should all be on the case, but there should be public scrutiny, not the usual behind closed doors cover-up. High time too for senior bureaucrats publicly disclosed their interests. #auspol

The biggest threat to our national security is Defence Minister Richard Marles. He’s happy to spend $368B on a highly risky all-eggs-in-one-basket #AUKUS submarine procurement while other programs for essential capabilities are cut, or never approved. #auspol

Many think the Senate has adjourned for the year, but they’re wrong, A ‘notice paper’ for an otherwise secret Christmas Eve sitting was discretely published on the Senate’s web site yesterday. e.g. Item #7👇. #auspol

CONservation JOB? Did the @greens.org.au negotiate well for the environment? Some wins, but no end to native forest logging (according to Minister Watt) and coal & gas companies laughing all the way to the next project approval. #auspol

Rather than the gas cartel prioritising the supply of Australian gas to their foreign customers, we need the Australian Govt prioritising the supply of Australian gas to Australians. We need a retrospective gas reservation policy now. #auspol

When export gas trains in Gladstone were approved, Labor (supported by the Coalition) declined to put a gas reservation scheme in place. Australians have suffered from high energy prices ever since. It’s time to fix that error. Wee need a retrospective gas reservation scheme now. 1/2 #auspol
