A quick thought on “smuggling” vs. “trafficking,” two terms which Bondi used somewhat interchangeably.
Generally, people pay to be smuggled; it’s a service. Trafficking, by contrast, is involuntary; no one wants to be trafficked.
That distinction is key in thinking through the allegations.

Q: You mentioned he had involvement in a murder and was connected with groups involved in a smuggling ring. But the only charges he's facing right now are human smuggling?

Abandoning a public commitment to universal health care did not help the Democrats win the 2024 election. It will not help them in 2028. All it does is leave more and more Americans unhealthy, sick, and dead.

This is so funny. Chris Murphy is a SENATOR. You FUCKING KEEP TELLING PEOPLE YOU CANNOT STOP THIS BILL. Shut the hell up. If people lose their health care, it has more to do your useless asses than a *made for Twitter* fight. Loser.
When 15 million Americans lose their health care and plunge into personal crisis, none of them are going to give a shit about a made-for-clicks twitter fight between two billionaires arguing about who gets the bigger share of the corruption spoils.

I'd put this a bit more sharply than @steveinskeep.bsky.social probably can: Trump simply does not understand any boundary between himself and the government. He has no sense of the public interest and believes the government is an extension of himself personally. open.substack.com/pub/steveins...
