I've never really understood the logic of "targeted vaccination".

Of course, money is a huge issue and we seek to get the most out of every £ spent.

Of course COVID and flu waves would be far worse without it.

But, what doesn't sit well for me is the following...

Oldest victim of Post Office scandal, 92, receives final compensation payout.

At last. But ruined lives can't be restored.

£1.2bn paid to 9,100 victims from public purse.

Not a penny from PO execs, Fujitsu, lawyers, accountants, advisers who benefited from persecution of the victims.

Since 2000, the richest 1% of the world's population has taken 41% of new wealth, the poorest half has received only 1%.

Rich buy political parties, media, means of production, cause corruption, climate crisis, make mockery of democracy. Poor die early.

Must redistribute or risk social disorder.

The billionaires can buy the newspapers and buy social media and buy attack ads, but they can't buy their way out of how much we fucking hate all of them.

Thank you. This is written so well in a way you make it easier to understand and follow. Fascinating.

The immune system is dangerous, usually more to pathogens than to you. But only because it’s so tightly controlled.

Activating a T cell can have horrific consequences. You really don’t want to trigger one unless it’s absolutely necessary. You need to be sure. How?

Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.

I think this constant push for immigrants to feel & act ‘grateful’ is so insidious. Let’s change the narrative. Migration is a normal part of human behaviour, not a charity case. If you’re doing your best to do your best, you don’t need to do even more to be accepted. It’s your right to be accepted.

I have family & friends who think I’m “over the top” about Covid & it’s time to move on. I’m not perfect in how I manage viruses, but I know a f*ck ton more than I used to & I wouldn’t step a foot in some places w/o a mask. I get eye rolled at all the time. I don’t GAF. It’s dangerous out there.

One of the train crew appears to have put themselves directly in harm’s way trying to stop the attack, and the driver rapidly diverted the train - meaning rescue services could reach it; passengers tried to help the injured and each other. Next time someone tells you that train drivers "just push buttons" show them this from the BBC
