There's no democratic future without reform of every level of the federal judiciary, starting with lifetime tenure. Every federal judge should have a term limit of 12 years or so. He/she could then be renominated and would have to be reconfirmed by the Senate for another term.
It's been true for > 4 decades that the same plutocrats who own the US mass media also own 99% of the Republicans in all 3 branches of the federal government.
Republicans can't do enough to facilitate the murderous policies of their donor base.
NEW: Salt water laced with cancer-causing chemicals, a byproduct of oil and gas drilling, keeps shooting out of the ground in Oklahoma.

Experts say it means even more wastewater is spreading underground, poisoning the state’s water supply.

If truth in advertising applied to lobbyists that right-wing group would have changed its name to the Zionist Defense League a long time ago. Its policies and rhetoric do much harm to the safety and best interests of Jewish Americans.
Sorry Bernie. Those oligarchs with hundreds of billions aren't "worth" that. The worth of most of them as human beings should be measured by the colossal amounts of damage and suffering they inflict on the world.
I really have no sympathy for the Republican genius who broke all the DOJ and FBI rules in 2016 to single-handedly make Trump president.
The bigger danger for Starmer's pals is that voters have figured out that Starmer's austerity/pro-genocide policies are antithetical to their values and their best interests.
The Nazi in Chief: "Like 50% of the presidents have used the Insurrection Act, they can use that, and everybody agrees you’re allowed to use that,” If other presidents misused this asinine/unconstitutional law, so can I.
Trump/all the other Repubs constantly accuse (falsely of course) the Dems of being commies, Nazis, etc. Meanwhile Dems refuse to label them (accurately) as fascists, bigots, KKK adherents, etc.
And then all the party veterans get together and pull on their beards and write a memo that says in essence “be cautious and leave social attacks unanswered” without acknowledging that’s the play they run every time they lose.
And of course it's heart-wrenching to see how upset all the magat cattle-ranchers are when they see that their lord and savior is fucking them over.
File under insane. "In 2024, U.S. cattle production represented about 22 percent of the $515 billion in total cash receipts for agricultural commodities." www.msn.com/en-us/money/...

My sign from No Kings this month.
Except, of course, when it comes to making the oligarchs richer and shafting the poor and working stiffs.
A Republican Congress is functionally the same as no Congress.
I shoulda realized this before- Occam and my grandfather say they're taking that g-d dope
So surprising that Jeff Amazon Bezos has come out of the closet as a raging fascist. Boycott #Amazon
I wrote that Trump's destruction of the East Wing was to build a palace for him to be a king.

The Washington Post editorial board wrote that Trump is "pursuing a reasonable idea."

As always, radical right-wing/Republican are antonyms not synonyms of "conservative". Real conservatives don't support theocracies.
Is there any reason to think that a Senator Platner won't be another Fetterman or Sinema once he's in office?

"Surge" is the term right-wingers and other war-lovers use when they mean "illegally attack and occupy".
who exactly is in this inner circle with advance knowledge of trump's secret police operations?
The use of "surge" here is so fucking grotesque. Trump is using Iraq War language against the citizens of his own country.
In fairness to Trump, Roger Taney, Jr. and his far-right SCOTUS cronies have greased the skids to allow US oligarchs to destroy as many MSM outlets as possible.
"Activists" a/k/a terrorists. Republicans are hellbent on making this shithole country an absolute dystopia.
Conservative education activists such as Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice have access to the top levers of the government.

“If America’s public schools cease to exist tomorrow, America would be a better place,” Justice told ProPublica.

These Activists Want to Dismantle Public Schools. Now They Run the Education Department.
Under Trump, the Department of Education has been bringing in activists hostile to public schools. It could mean a new era of private and religious schools boosted by tax dollars — and the end of publ...

during the 2016 campaign, the Boston Globe ran a scary mockup front page of what a world where Trump was president would look like, and it’s pretty tame compared to a random Friday morning’s headlines now
I'm sure all those aircraft carriers, warships, submarines, etc. will come in real handy in building the Republicans' concentration camps.
