While ReBoot isn't lost media by any means, the extent to which this restoration project has been going is simply INCREDIBLE.
They got the D-1 master tapes. Then the hardware to read them. Then service manuals to repair/maintain. THEN, CRITICAL REPLACEMENT PARTS. And now they're ERROR CORRECTING.

Figured out that the artist in question used GenAI backgrounds she grabbed from Google in at least two pieces she did for me - one was a full on commission and the other was a birthday piece I got off her patreon.
Confronting her about this caused her to *immediately* block me.

Funny animal videos no longer being trustworthy just fucking sucks all around. I love the wonder of animal behavior and what it says about the experience of being alive. It's because it happened in reality that it's so fun. It's not fun if it was just made up. There's no wonder there.
