I think this supports my assertion that Democrats ought to be trying to inspire and motivate people who didn't bother to vote rather than worrying about the "swing voters" (i.e. idiots and arseholes) who voted for Trump.

Ask yourself why the first group stayed home, not how you can turn the right.
Never seen it framed this way by all recent elections

Where "groyper" specifically comes from is a corpulent version of Pepe the Frog, sitting with chin resting on interlaced fingers. The origin of the name is unclear.
Followers of Nick Fuentes who espouse white supremacy and Christian nationalism. They originally positioned themselves as challengers of "Conservative, Inc." as represented by mainstream right-wingers like Ben Shapiro and Charlie Kirk, who weren't extreme enough for them.

Fuentes organizing one of the great infiltration and organization efforts in American politics is probably something we should be aware of

I have no idea about Heritage now specifically, but I do generically.

At this point I think it is fair to assume that anyone under the age of 30 who is a staffer for a right-wing think tank or Republican member of Congress is groyper-adjacent unless explicitly proven otherwise.
the bleakest moment in this article is the point where a heritage staffer, horrified by fuentes, discovers that "a growing number" of heritage interns are groypers
My assumption is that the New York Post has better sources inside Heritage than most other press outlets. One tidbit of note: Princeton's Robert P. George, a Heritage trustee, is said to be pushing fellow board members to oust its president Kevin Roberts. Hope he succeeds.

I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members.

At our Summit, I was asked how it felt to be 1 of 2 Black women left and what that meant for representation. Now, there are no Black women at Teen Vogue and that is incredibly painful to think about.

It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.

People fucking hate this guy. They fucking hate ICE. They fucking hate how much power he has. He is at 63% overall disapproval to 37% approval. That's lower than their poll after January 6th. And this poll was done before he started intentionally starving people. I wish our media would reflect this.

This is fairly good advice for dealing with ANY lawless violent gang

Notice, here, how this despicable administration is leaning hard into "noticing us racially profiling is inciting violence against us and everyone we stop is a violent criminal." Just the absolute scum of the Earth.

RAJU: Last week you were very critical of Biden's use of the autopen. But Trump admitted on 60 Minutes to not knowing he pardoned a crypto billionaire who pleaded guilty to money laundering. Does that also concern you?

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know anything about that. I didn't see it. I'm not sure.

The public-facing side of American conservative politics more or less amounts to crashing out constantly about a bunch of shit that either you or the weird liars you listen to uncritically have made up. The non-public part, from what we've seen of the chat logs and such, is somehow much worse.

I have been a reporter for close to 40 years, including stints covering police and the courts. This thing, from the president down, of accusing people of crimes when not charged: That did not used to be a thing. Authorities don’t do that because it is unfair and leads to cases being tossed.

Hedy Lamarr invented WiFi 😛 though I didn't know we had developed it, that's cool

This popped up for me a minute later
Though before we thought of the alarm (or had the girl cat), he got fed when I got home from work, which meant that he learnt specifically how *my* car sounded passing our old apartment building going to the rear parking lot, and would run to our door. Other cars arriving got no reaction.
Our old man cat was so pushy about food right from the start that I conditioned him that he gets wet food when the alarms go off on my phone at 0800 and 2000. He and our little girl cat *will* sit around staring at me for up to 90 minutes beforehand, of course. Automatic dry food feeders go 5m later
I installed a cat flap in my bedroom door so that I didn't have to worry about chocking it open to let the cats in, and to improve results when I'm heating or cooling the room. Being free to do that is genuinely one of the best reasons to buy my own home.
