Looking forward to learning all about how the right should move left to win elections tomorrow. They should maybe dye their hair pink, learn to love pronouns.
Tim Hortons expanded into Maine, maybe 20 years ago. Everyone was so excited.
I went & it was overpriced, tasted terrible, and they had some of the most consciously rude customer service I'd experienced.
So, basically just Starbucks II.
But then, 40 years ago, Dunken Donuts was actually good, too.

Alternatively: When Dems have the majority they should right size the Supreme Court, give full representation to the people of DC & Puerto Rico (if PR wants it) via statehood, and finally enact meaningful public safety measures that could stop mass murders & violent crime across our country.
Johnson: "If they had no filibuster, they would pack the SCOTUS. You'd go from 9 to 17 or however many liberals they could pack. You would make DC & Puerto Rico into states, which would give 4 additional Democrat senators & make us a permanent minority. You'd see massive restrictions of 2A rights"

The federal shutdown has now lasted more than a month — approaching the record 35 days in 2018-2019.

Late last week, though, D.C. took a step to keep the situation from getting even worse for tens of thousands of local households.

A film you've seen more than seven times with a gif.

(Thought I'd pick something a bit more contemporary than I normally do for things like this)

So AI:

-is basically autocomplete on steroids
-can’t do basic math
-makes no money
-no one wants it
-causes companies to fire great gouts of people
-stifles all other corporate spending
-prevents companies from hiring new people
-is set to completely destroy the world economy

As I mentioned during our DC show the other night, years – decades! – of mayors tacitly tolerating cops and other city employees defacing their plates has made this much more difficult to deal with now.
Hedningarna's album Trä is one that I really dig.
I dislike reading on a screen. Anything longer than a few paragraphs? Forget it. I like having the PDF so I can print out things I might need, like maps, bits of lore, or handouts. But reading the whole book? No way.

Was just reminded of a company I worked for that bought & made everyone at management level & up (probably 1500 people) read the book Fish as a means of fostering corporate growth. Then they absolutely shut down & refused to follow anything learned in the book.

For those curious, there really is no peak foliage here. Leaves start falling in late August/early September. You start to see random bursts of color change in September through November. Individual trees can be quite impressive, but if you want Fall colors, got to New England or Upstate New York.

Tourist: Hey, you know how literally nobody ever talks about traveling to mid-Atlantic cities to look at autumn foliage?
Me: Yeah.
Tourist: Well, when is peak fall foliage there?

I should start a consulting firm. It seems like companies and politicians like to pay them absolutely beastly amounts of money to tell them any old nonsense.
