I literally have two degrees in English literature and am currently working on my PhD, but I’d never be able to do an English a level because my disabilities mean I can’t do timed written examinations! This like most of what the government does is fucking evil!

I was lucky, already had an NHS diagnosis from a gender clinic, so I could just go somewhere else and ask to be put on my normal meds. But that’s not an option for most people these days, given is basically impossible to even get seen by a gender clinic, let alone get a diagnosis

I had to move GPs a few years ago because a new guy took over at my old surgery and randomly decided I didn't need the HRT and PCOS meds I'd been on for years. It’s horrific how much power random, often very uninformed, cis doctors are given over trans people’s lives!

A lot of cis reporters who are otherwise capable of seeing what's in front of them are seemingly completely oblivious to bigotry against trans people.

The only real conclusion at this point is that they don't think it's bigotry: that they think it's simply putting us in our rightful place.

I’ve been sewing a longtime but only recently got into darning, hoping this will allow me to extend the lifespan of all my clothes. This was my first attempt on cotton, repairing moth damage on a second hand dress (The moth damage happened before I had the dress). It’s not that neat, but I’m happy!

I’m so close to writing an article about the Harry Potter fandom: exploring what used to exist, pre Rowling coming out as a bigot, compared to the state of to fandom now. The main thing stopping is fear of Rowling and her goons, I don’t want invite harassment on myself and my family!

That’s heartbreaking to hear; the entire university system in both the US and UK is collapsing due to the systemic defunding of the arts humanities and social sciences. The only reason I’m able to do this PhD is a grant and even that’s now been discontinued for new students

Funny the NHS gave me HRT aged 19, a decade ago none of this was an issue, the only reason they bring up transition age now is to try and prevent legal adults from transitioning. Without HRT ar 19 I'd never have been able to go to uni let alone have my career as a researcher!

When the Supreme Court can act as if trans people never had rights, retroactively redefine “sex” in the 1974, 1975, and 2010 Acts of Parliament, and somehow deem criminal law to incorporate that by reference, who even needs to persuade the legislature to pass laws criminalising trans people?
