Silly jokes and politics and baseball ⚾ (Orioles and Mariners) and football 🏈 (Ravens and Seahawks) and romance novels and oversharing/anxiety. Left, but not as far left as you want me to be. She/her

Every cishet man should be required to read at least three (3) romance novels.

I'm confident that a bunch of them would secretly love it because I saw how the football podcast men talked about Taylor and Travis. ("What if he proposed at the Superb*wl wouldn't that be great?" Adorbs)

"young republican" who is starting at QB on TNF tonight.
"young republican" who last year voted in his sixth presidential election and still complains about freaks and geeks being canceled after one season

String cheese is the only body count I recognize. Mine is 7.
I wonder how much string cheese I can eat in one sitting

Screaming. Guys will literally install Grok in their cybertrucks instead of going to (real) therapy.

Taken together with impoundments, this would break everything. The president is claiming the power to not spend money he doesn't want to and now also to spend money where it's not allowed. And SCOTUS might say no one has standing to stop him. That would make him an appropriations king.

And the craziest part is this was needless. Congress would've passed a military pay bill with near unanimous support! Congressional Ds have been begging Rs to bring a bill to pay the military to the floor! But Johnson refuses to gavel in because he doesn't want an Epstein vote.
Johnson wearing a jacket that's photoshopped to say "this has nothing to do with epstein"
When I get over there, I kind of want to do a stealth O's bsky meetup where we all try to guess who is who, but I think enough of you have met by now that it would just be me trying to be low key. And obviously Dr E knows everybody haha
So I started watching in the bottom of the 2nd and stopped in the top of the 6th, so if they somehow come back, I guess I'm not allowed to watch anymore
You can feel the doom closing in
It's the trauma, I'm also like "at least they made it this far, alas"

Unfortunately this is at the same time as part of the Mariners game tonight (thank you MLB last-minute scheduling ughhhhh) BUT only the first 45 mins or so. And then we can all go home and say GO MARINERS!!
Upcoming tours: Baltimore's Confederate Shadows (Mount Vernon to Midtown), returning for only 2 nights in October!! fullstorybaltimore.tours/our-tours/#c...
A tour guide holding a lantern standing in front of a brick Victorian mansion in midtown Baltimore, at night, surrounded by fallen leaves.
He's feeling spicy because da bears won. I bet he watches Ben Johnson post game speeches and gets hyped.
Someone in the crowd: “Go Cubs!”

Pope Leo XIV: “Han perdido! They lost!”

We can't shame them for their horrible opinions! If they face a consequence they might stop being horrible

"You will only get paid if you kiss His Majesty's ring" is an interesting hill to die on, but I say go for it.

1)You may remember the articles criticizing liberal students for their hesitancy to make friends with conservative students—alleging that they were less open-minded than their conservative counterparts.
If your Republicans are of the libertarian flavor, they already believe this and complain about every "click it or ticket" sign they see

I've been watching the Mariners in the playoffs and having some on-base merchants in the lineup seems nice. A stealing threat too? Sign me up
Yeah, I'm kind of just assuming that this year is cursed for Baltimore sports with injuries and other teams making adjustments, so I'm hoping things look better next year both at The Bank and OPACY
Thanks! Makes sense that they may have overcommitted to one drafting approach. They've hit some lottery tickets with hitting, and then lots... Less so.

(I'm looking forward to EBJ in spring training for sure, I haven't been following the minors so that's when I see these guys)
I don't think it'd FIX the strikeout-power correlation, since that seems kind of baked in to the hitting-for-power approach, but it seems easier to build strength than to adjust the eye? There's probably a story of this being tried unsuccessfully, but idk
Regarding the swing and miss: one of the things I've been mulling is whether it makes more sense to draft guys who consistently make contact and try to train strength/power, especially since so many are getting drafted young enough that they are just barely finished getting taller

I’m generally very “let a thousand flowers bloom” vis a vis kinks involving consenting adults, but this seems deeply gross and unhealthy.
