I was at a journalism conference last month and someone on a panel said that the single biggest source of misinformation in the world today is the US Government and every day reaffirms that observation.
You cannot trust any statement any branch of the government makes at this point.
After the FBI denied "children were zip-tied or hit with rubber bullets" in a raid in Wilder, Idaho, the FBI said no "young" children were.

The updated statement came after KIVI-TV sent FBI photo reportedly showing 14-year-old U.S. citizen in zip ties.

The state of Florida is apparently now teaching that McCarthyism was not, in fact, a bad thing, I guess.
Florida’s Social Studies standards are getting another update next month.

No, those terrible African American History standards will stay, but there’s a huge update to our Anti-Communism education.

This is just one page.

Iceland lost the distinction of being one of the last places in the world without a confirmed sighting of wild mosquitoes. Experts say the discovery is a sign of how rapid climate change and globalization are changing Iceland.
Iceland Says It Is No Longer Mosquito-Free
Iceland was one of the only mosquito-free places in the world, at least according to its records. Not anymore.

In the audience tonight is Charlotte Bennett, one of the 13 women that Andrew Cuomo is credibly alleged to have sexually harassed while they worked in his government.

She can't speak for herself because Cuomo's lawyers have hounded her.

So I confronted him.

what
Andrew Cuomo’s campaign just posted — and quickly deleted — this AI-generated ad depicting “criminals for Zohran Mamdani.”

Features a Black man in a keffiyeh shoplifting, an abuser, a trespasser, a trafficker, a drug dealer, and a drunk driver all declaring support for Mamdani.

Asked my mom if she’d heard about it and she did it thought it was a joke and was shocked to find out it was real.
I was chatting with a neighbor this afternoon and he asked me "so . . . what's going on in the world," and I led with, "well, there's the whole destroying the East Wing of the White House for a ballroom thing, it's just gone," and my neighbor said "wait what? I didn't know that"

Cuomo is still deliberately mispronouncing Mamdani's name during tonight's debate.

Also like, in addition to not being an abstract symbol, the likelihood of contractors being paid fairly? Of the asbestos in this 1942 building being handled with care?

Of the demolition happening in a way that ensures the emergency bunker isn't overly damaged?

We can save the White House from demolition but it’s going to cost money. A lot of money. Don’t worry, I have a plan: let’s put on a show

TRUMP IN JULY, discussing plans to build a ballroom beside the White House:
“It won’t interfere with the current building. It’ll be near it but not touching it — and pays total respect to the existing building, which I’m the biggest fan of."
THE NEWS TODAY:
Trump is demolishing the entire East Wing.
