I would rather have the #SouthPark guys running the country on acid than Trump and Vance.

A 14-word replacement for most op-eds, substacks, etc about this moment.

The GOP could stop ALL of this, right now—if a handful of Sens or Reps could step outside the cult.

It would take four in the Senate, four (maybe five) in the House, to change history.

Until then, they're all to blame.

Fifteen million are about to lose health care. Premiums are set to double. Housing & child care are outrageously expensive.

Meanwhile, Trump’s priorities are demolishing the White House, bailing out Argentina & now threatening war with Venezuela.

What happened to America First?

We are one week away from Open Enrollment.

Under the GOP health care crisis, millions of families will lose insurance.

There is no time to waste. We need to pass a budget that protects everyday Americans.
This is brilliant.
I will be very disappointed if this doesn't happen.

If he were right, the import price index (which measures pre-tariff prices) would have fallen by enough to offset the sharp tariff hike. It didn't.
Just read an article on how Russians are finally complaining about Putin. Not because their kids have died over Ukraine, or because thousands of relatives died when he lied about Covid & threw doctors out 3rd story windows. Because of the price of potatoes. Half our country has the same mentality☠️

A whole bunch of Americans died in a field in PA trying to stop Osama Bin Laden’s cronies from destroying the WH.

That asshole just destroyed the WH for him.

The terrorists must be so pleased.

TACO accomplished what Al Qaeda could not,

while all the mouth breathing “patriots” let him do it.

As Republicans keep up attacks on congressional maps, they should get used to seeing my law firm in court. On Wednesday, North Carolina Republicans enacted a newly gerrymandered map that targets Black voters to create an additional seat for a white Republican. The next day my law firm sued.

Trump also signed an executive order that would impose a 25% tariff on countries that import Venezuelan oil, a move which underscores the importance of Venezuelan crude in U.S. trade and energy-geopolitics. From a raw-oil-access perspective: it puts the U.S. in a position to dictate all terms 🧵4/5

It’s always about money…
He confirmed earlier this month that he authorized the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for operations in Venezuela, and Venezuelan officials publicly accuse the U.S. of pursuing regime-change motives tied to control over Venezuelan resources.

This isn’t about narco-terrorism - it’s about oil 🧵5/5

the point of the ballroom obvs has nothing to do with aesthetics. it's to create an architectural structure to honor the patronage networks that currently dominate US politics. previous WH venues hosted maybe a couple of hundred people; this hosts nearly 1,000 rich donors.

I’m good with my taxes subsidizing social welfare for people who can’t afford food.

I’m enraged with my taxes subsidizing corporate welfare to businesses that won’t pay a living wage.

We asked people who lived in homeless encampments that were cleared out in city “sweeps” to write about what object was the hardest for them to lose.

“They took my baby pictures and my moms obituaries,” a man in California wrote.
