My emphasis for "family" housing (as a developer) is on building Baby Maybe units rather than Studios, bc I think they are under supplied relative to demand

The first step to empathy is understanding the danger. I invite any full-time driver to get out of their car and just try to get from A to B. It's an eye-opening experience.

Lesson: Car tech will not "solve" the crisis in US pedestrian safety. Addressing car bloat, deadly street design, etc is also necessary.
