In essence:

- the CPS somehow misunderstood a Court of Appeal judgment and so needlessly asked HMG for further evidence

- HMG somehow misunderstood what should go in a witness statement and so wrongly did not provide it

Prosecution then dropped

So either two concurrent cockups

Massive theft of intellectual property is hardly "copyright growing pains". The huge legal liability will eat up any far-distant profits.

No-one wants to watch AI slop - let alone be asked to generate or direct it themselves.

it is galling to read this when the pay rise for university staff was 1.4% this year.

ONS on wage growth: an average of 6% for the public sector and 4.4% for the private sector. (And 1.4% for the university sector).

This is why we say ‘UPPER CASE’ and ‘lower case.’

I feel like a broken record, but I have to keep saying it over and over again: a farmer bailout won’t do much of anything because the market is gone. There will be no incentive to plant next year.

The bailout will help payoff farmer debt to the banks. That’s all.

Taran, Assistant Pig-Keeper, is the young protagonist of the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander. I think most readers are supposed to assume he is naive and hopeless ... but anyone who has survived as an Assistant Pig-Keeper for long surely has their wits about them.
