After the FBI denied "children were zip-tied or hit with rubber bullets" in a raid in Wilder, Idaho, the FBI said no "young" children were.

The updated statement came after KIVI-TV sent FBI photo reportedly showing 14-year-old U.S. citizen in zip ties.

All of the Clinton-era conservative pearl clutching about the sanctity of the White House and the Democrats’ disrespect seems like it’s from another world now.

There was a whole scandal because Al Gore made fundraising calls from inside the building. They investigated the Clintons’ cat!
I'm old enough to remember when Republicans claimed to believe that the White House was such sacred space that getting a blow job in the Oval Office was grounds to remove a president from office.

The destruction of the White House is such an ungodly abomination that, of course, the New York Jets are involved.

Remarkable how millions upon millions of Americans either fell into a coma or embarked on a multi-year hike of the Appalachian Trail on 1/5/21 and all emerged the morning of 11/5/24 as innocent babes and went directly to their polling place and cast their votes. Astounding, even.

Struck me at the end of Trump's first term, post-impeachment, that even when he got bipartisan support (like for CARES) he didn't invite Dems to the bill signing.

I think about this bc there's a kneejerk political media instinct to ask Dems how they'll unify the country and it's getting very silly.

We're cutting Medicaid/Medicare, rural hospitals are closing, and ACA subsidies look like they won't be renewed.

Funding all of this would be cheaper than bailing out Argentina and building a ballroom.
I think we're third-worlding just fine without their help.
Good. Keep it up. Louder, please.

This is gone now. The East Wing lobby two years ago.
This is what it used to look like inside the lobby area.
I know implosions are typically reserved for much larger and well-built structures but anyone who runs on making a public event of blowing this tacky monument to bribery and debauchery to smithereens in a controlled demolition has my vote

This is not a joke. It actually happened.
The Pentagon announces they are replacing The New York Times’ press credentials with the MyPillow guy’s media outlet.

34 people killed in 50 days. Their guilt or innocence unknown, for an alleged crime that doesn't carry a death sentence. That's a lot of death.

The new Pentagon press corps appears to be a who's who of pro-Trump propagandists. And a security nightmare. At least one of these—Tim Pool's Timcast—was tied to a network of influencers that received money as part of a Russian influence operation. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
So weird that generations of ritualized violence against children at home (and in many states at school) hasn't led to a less violent society. Truly baffling!

Hey, here's an idea: don't hit your kids! I call it the "don't hit your kids, you fucking ghoul" style of parenting!
Authoritative parenting is often seen as a pro-child alternative to authoritarian parenting. But research by "parenting styles" creator Diana Baumrind found that "on average, authoritative parents spanked just as much as the average of all other parents."

I can’t stop thinking about all the hoopla over removing confederate statues and the phony appeals to “heritage.” But this is done without discussion. It was always about displays of dominance.
