OK, so our "Secretary of War" currently has two big priorities: (1) murdering innocent fishermen in the Caribbean, and (2) endangering the lives of commuters in Southern California.

Perhaps, we are seeing one of the downsides to having a drunk TV talk show chatterbox running our military.

Trump says the government is going to investigate whether Soros paid for all the signs No Kings protesters were carrying. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Trump on No Kings: "It's a joke. I looked at the people. They are not representative of this country. And I looked at all the brand new signs I guess paid for by Soros and other radical left lunatics. We're checking it out. The demonstrations were very small. And the people were whacked out."

You really can’t make this shit up.

Live ammunition detonates over I-5 and damages CHP vehicle being used for Vance security at Pendleton. This, after the VP mocked Newsom’s safety concerns about live rounds being shot across the nation’s busiest highway.

Haven’t seen a WH reply since.

Where is the NY Times in depth coverage of why 7 million Americans chose to spend the day protesting Trump?

I can’t find it.

A foreign newspaper seems to have more interest.

For those STILL dismissing yesterday’s march as mere performance…

Yes.
It was.
How else do you create a movement??

Here are a LOT of reasons why such marches are important:

The Trump Doctrine:

The US military blows up boats in the Caribbean to try and kill everyone on board claiming they are narco terrorists as the justification to dispense with interdiction and trial, but if the targets survive we let them go and fly them home.

Makes sense.

BREAKING NYT: A shell fired during a live-fire demonstration at Camp Pendleton on Saturday prematurely detonated, dropping fragments of the shell on a California Highway Patrol vehicle and motorcycle that were part of Vice President JD Vance’s protective detail, according to a patrol report.

Per BBC VERIFY - Elon’s Grok just lied and said the crowd size from yesterday was a fake image

It then corrected itself, but not until many on the right seized on it and amplified it

One more thing abt this literal shit post.

In both OR & IL, Trump's posts have been central to the litigation--in Portland bc it was the only claimed basis for invasion, and in IL to substantiate the extensive animus (going back to 2013) Trump has towards Chicago.

IL has to file to SCOTUS Monday.

seems that RFK is clearing the path for his CDC to do tuskegee syphillis experiments as a matter of course. in other news, RFK is a genuine monster who relishes in the pain and suffering of those he feels he has control or dominion over
RFK is undoing human subjects protections so he can conduct placebo trials of vaccines. That means infecting people knowingly. I wonder who will “volunteer” for these trials? If history is any guide, a lot of incarcerated and other powerless people.
Dismantling the Institutional Review Board (IRB), that oversees all human subjects research, is bad. Really bad.

The ceasefire agreement for which Trump received an avalanche of praise—including a TIME cover—lasted six days.

For now. Sinclair said same thing but people boycotted and they relented on Jimmy Kimmel. Ditto ABC and Nextstar.
If you find it morally objectionable — and many users/creators do — Spotify’s own position is: “We’re not going to pull it.” So you’ll need to decide whether to tolerate it or switch services.

Across advertising and popular media, seemingly everyone is grabbing their fringe, denim and Stetson boots, in a wholehearted embrace of the American West.

It’s cowboys – and they’re “everywhere,” said Emily Keegin, a photo director for both magazines and brands.

KARL: Why is the Defense Secretary afraid to interact with journalists who cover him?

JOHNSON: I reject the premise

KARL: The guy has only had 2 briefings and he basically forced the press out

JOHNSON: I can't remember a Secretary of Defense who has been so transparent and out in the open

At this point, if you're interviewing a Republican about the president's latest transgression and you *don't* have the video or post or whatever cued up and ready to show them when they pretend they haven't seen it yet -- I'm just going to assume you're in on the con yourself.

We always get these huge Trump announcements with much media hype and fanfare with lots of big promises and assurances, effusively praising himself looking for awards & prizes, while experts say the details are scarce or nonexistent. Then a short time later we get the reality.
