No more trying to emulate YUROP HELTHKERR while permitting or facilitating slavery, segregation, and deportation

Attack both or attack the latter alone

Let herrenvolkism die the whimpering death it deserves

Personally if I were trying to fight a fascist martial dictatorship imposed over a democratic republic with an entrenched tradition of annual elections I would force them to demonstrate that “fair elections are over” and defend accordingly instead of preemptively ceding them for some damn reason

This position fails to understand our current moment by failing to understand historical fascism.

Critically: fascism arrives democratically, but it remains in power thru use of force, coercion, and legal shenanigans. Optics cease to matter bc fair elections are over.

But Samantha literally isn't saying that. She's saying the point is to further delegitimize the regime by goading them into overreacting to peaceful protesters. Images of them brutalizing a priest, a grandma, a person in a frog costume, etc., is bad imagery for them.

I mean, I was on board with the first two from the beginning, but I started out as pro-Israel. I thought everyone should be post 10/7 and (naively) hoped that the only democracy in the Mideast would be better than all the other countries in the region.

I was wrong. Gaza-lago did it for me.

California, this November 4th, the whole country is counting on you.

Prop 50 puts our elections back on a level playing field, preserves independent redistricting over the long term, and lets the people decide.

So return your ballot today. Vote yes on 50.

We actually do need hardcore, knuckle busting partisanship with the stated goal of breaking the political and institutional power of the Republican Party. Raze the party, burn it down, and salt the ashes.

I mean, the good thing about liberalism is that it isn’t a purity cult. There’s room for people to not believe in the cause and even advocate against it. Now, if you actively participated in the evisceration of rights, that’s a different matter. But, like, we’re not Stalinists.

Something that I don’t think most non-terminally online liberals are aware of is the degree to which young Republicans are basically unrecoverably feral men, a generation of Oskar Dirlewangers who all speak like Instagram influencers and Twitch streamers

this reminds me of the almost exact same racist content that was in the TPUSA at Virginia Tech chats

The people who died in the Boston Massacre did not have access to a copy of the Declaration, let alone Lafayette’s agreement with the French to use naval power in Yorktown.
pennamitepatriot.bsky.social
That’s probably the right way to understand it. Yep.
pennamitepatriot.bsky.social
Though, for the record, any terminally online young Republican is almost always of the former. The latter group is more politically apathetic if anything; they’re incredibly gullible, but also not like super personally obsessed about race war or monarchy or some cringe bullshit…
pennamitepatriot.bsky.social
I mean, I might push back on that a bit. There’s certainly the kind of young Republican that wants that. I think there’s also the kind of (arguably dumb) young Republican that thought Trump was better for the economy for vibes reasons.

The former is irredeemably lost. The latter *might* not be.

I’ve found that it’s a lot easier to understand those sorts of progressives as not really committed to any principles when it comes to how our institutions should be structured. Rather, they’re committed to a sort of fantasy where every other Democrat is just supposed to give them everything...

Democracy works (or at least it kinda used to) in keeping people like Piker off the ballot because he’s too vain and too unelectable to actually hold office.

Now if only it worked for Trump…

I mean, trying to figure out which country has the smartest racists is kinda like trying to figure out which needle is easiest to find in a haystack, but yeah, they‘re up there on the stupidity list.
